With more than forty years in the legal practice, Cecilia Arosemena advises local and foreign clients in the areas of Commercial and Corporate Law, Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, Real Estate Law and Maritime Law.
She is the arbitrator appointed by the Conciliation and Arbitration Center (CECAP) of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama and the Conflict Resolution Center (CESCON), of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction, for the specialties of Civil Contracts and Commercial, and for Maritime Affairs. Likewise, she was designated Arbitrator representative of the Panamanian Government before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of the World Bank.
Cecilia is an active member of the National Bar Association; of the Panamanian Association of Maritime Law (APADEMAR) - Member of the Board of Directors from 1990 to 1994. She is a founding member of the Panama Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) - President of the Arbitration Commission 2009-2011 and current member of the Board of Directors, since 2001; Member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
